# Exchange Sandbox

A public sandbox is available for testing API connectivity and web trading.

<Warning>
  Sandbox is subset

  The sandbox hosts a *subset* of the production order books and supports all exchange functionality *except* [Transfers](#unsupported-features). You can add unlimited fake funds for testing.

  Login sessions and API keys are separate from production. Log into the [sandbox web interface](https://public.sandbox.exchange.coinbase.com) to create an API key, deposit/withdraw funds, etc.

## Sandbox URLs

Use the following URLs to test your API connectivity. See the [Runbook](/exchange/introduction/systems-operations) for Production URLs.

## Unsupported Features

The Transfer endpoints are *not* available for testing in the Sandbox:

## Creating API Keys

To create an API key in the sandbox web interface:

1. Go to the [sandbox web interface](https://public.sandbox.exchange.coinbase.com)
2. Create an account or sign in.
3. Go to **API** in your profile dropdown menu.
4. Click **New API Key**.

## Managing Funds

To add or remove funds in the sandbox web interface:

1. Go to the **Portfolios** tab.
2. Click the **Deposit** and **Withdraw** buttons as you would on the production web interface.
